Water Donation Request

Thank you for considering Blue Dot Water for your charitable event.

We gladly support entities whose efforts align with our goals of reducing plastic waste, supporting the farmers and artisans of the local food and water shed who in turn support our community’s overall good health, and the care and protection of the environment and its inhabitants. 

We receive a high volume of donation requests each year, and allocate our annual giving strategically so that it has the most impact on our community. Please fill out this form, and tell us more about your mission and your methods, so that we may evaluate if they align with our giving goals. We will assess each request carefully and respond as soon as possible.

To be considered for a water donation, you must agree to provide plant-based or compostable cups for water dispensing, or decline to provide disposable cups in favor of reusable options. We suggest including messaging in your brochures and other marketing that encourages attendees to bring their own reusable bottles.

How Donation Works

  • Pickup or Delivery: You can choose to pickup the bottles at our facility or have them delivered.
    • Pickup is available during normal business hours from our Reno facility, Monday-Friday between 9am-2pm, major Holidays excluded.
    • Delivery is available within the Reno/Sparks area.
  • Water Options: We offer 5-gallon bottles of Purified or Alkaline water. We do not offer single-use disposable bottles.
  • Dispensers: Complimentary ceramic crocks for dispensing room temperature water are available upon request. We do not offer disposable cups.
  • Equipment Deposit: A $10 deposit is required for each bottle and crock, which is fully refundable upon return in good condition.
    • Placing foreign substances in the bottles or crocks, edible or otherwise (including water supplements), will forfeit your deposit.
  • Equipment Return: Equipment must be returned to our facility within 3 business days after the event. Bottle Pickup is not available.
  • Scheduling: Provision of full event details, including pickup/delivery date and location, your organization’s non-profit documentation, and event pre-approval must be completed at least 4 weeks in advance.
  • Water Stations: If you will be setting up a self-service station, you may wish to consider the following:
    • You may wish to designate a volunteer to switch out the bottles as they are emptied, but the stations typically do not require constant monitoring. Note that Blue Dot Water staff is not available to work events.
    • If you elect to use lightweight portable tables for your stations, we recommend counterbalancing to prevent overturning as the crock/bottle combo is very heavy.
