Our Alkaline Drinking Water is created by passing Purified Water through natural mineral filters containing calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium. How long does the pH of the Alkaline Water last?

Our Alkaline Water is shelf stable when stored out of sunlight in glass, plastic, ceramic, and other non-reactive material. Stainless steel, or dispensers containing stainless steel tanks such as hot/cold water dispensers, will neutralize the alkalinity.

Why doesn't your water lose alkalinity?

There are two methods of Alkalizing water: with minerals and with electrolysis. Electrolysis uses electricity to separate alkaline water from acidic water, and has a limited shelf life of about 2-3 weeks. Mineralization, which we use at Blue Dot Water, is made with minerals and is shelf stable.

How much water should I drink per day?

Take your weight and divide by two. This will give you the number of ounces you should drink per day. For most people, this is ½ to 1 gallon per day, but the exact amount will depend on your size and level of activity.

Do you sell water with a lower pH?

Alkaline Water may be mixed with Purified Water to reduce the alkalinity. Try a half and half mixture, which will give you roughly a pH of 8 to 8.5.

Can Alkaline Water upset your stomach?

Some people may experience discomfort when consuming Alkaline Water with food, as it can dilute the stomach acids necessary for digestion. Try drinking it no less than 30 minutes before a meal, and waiting at least an hour after a meal.

How much sodium is in the Alkaline water?

Our water has been lab tested at less than 5 mg/L, which is less than most tap water.

I tested the Alkaline water with a pH strip, and it came out really low. What gives?

Firstly, make sure you are testing with water testing strips, not urine testing strips, which will give inaccurate results. Secondly, check that the water has not been neutralized in some manner, such as storing in sunlight for an extended time, boiling, or storing in stainless steel.
