Antioxidant

Alkaline Water is ionized for 24 to 36 hours. This antioxidant property may assist in fighting free-radicals that contribute to cancer growth.

Natural Mineral Filtration results in an alkaline water that is better tasting and more hydrating than other water.

The modern American lifestyle creates a stressful environment in the body. Drinking Alkaline Water can help combat diseases commonly associated with chronic dehydration and poor nutrition.

Our Alkaline Drinking Water is created by passing Purified Water through natural mineral filters containing calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium. These electrolytes help hydrate your cells more effectively so that you flush out toxins, making your immune system better equipped to fight disease, and help fight chronic dehydration.

These minerals also raise the water pH to an average 9.5 – 10.2. This helps neutralize acidity in the body, especially in the mouth, esophagus and stomach, which may assist with the symptoms of acid-reflux.

Consuming fresh Alkaline Water (less than 36 hours old) helps in the elimination of free radicals. Ionization assists in the removal of harmful active oxygen which can cause cancer, diabetes, hypertension and other disease. It also increases the levels of oxygen in the blood stream for heightened cell function throughout the body.

We also happen to think it is the purest, best tasting water around. It never sits on shelves for months in disposable plastic, absorbing unpleasant flavors and toxins. We’re confident you will find yourself actually craving a glass of this water!

Frequently Asked Questions

Our Alkaline Water is shelf stable when stored out of sunlight in glass, plastic, ceramic, and other non-reactive material.

Stainless steel, or dispensers containing stainless steel tanks such as hot/cold water dispensers, will slowly diminish the alkalinity over time. Boiling Alkaline Water will also neutralize its pH. However, the water is still just as delicious, retains its minerals, and is still perfectly lovely and safe to drink. Many of our customers report preferring the taste of Alkaline Water in their morning coffee or tea.

There are two methods of Alkalizing water: with minerals and with electrolysis. Electrolysis uses electricity to separate alkaline water from acidic water, and has a limited shelf life of about 2-3 weeks. Mineralization, which we use at Blue Dot Water, is made with minerals and is shelf stable.

For most people, you should consume ½ gallon to 1 gallon of water per day, but the exact amount will depend on your size and level of activity. Check with your doctor if you are unsure.

We only sell two waters: Alkaline and Purified. However, our Alkaline Water may be mixed with our Purified Water in variable amounts to reduce the alkalinity. Try a half and half mixture to give you roughly a pH of 8 to 8.5.

Some people may experience discomfort when consuming Alkaline Water with food, as it can dilute the stomach acids necessary for digestion, or in large amounts all at once. Try drinking it no less than 30 minutes before a meal, and waiting at least an hour after a meal; and/or sip it in smaller amounts over a longer period of time.

Our water has been lab tested at less than 5 mg/L, which is less than most tap water.

This is a common issue for people, which is usually explained by the type of testing strip you are using.

Firstly, make sure you are testing with water testing strips, not urine testing strips. The latter is not intended for water and will give inaccurate results.

Secondly, check that the water has not been neutralized in some manner, such as stored in sunlight for an extended time, boiled, or stored in stainless steel.

Note: we test our water daily for purity and pH levels.
